Noriyuki Haga scores a double podium finish at Imola as Ducati enjoy a dominant day on home turf.

Haga could have quite easily have been the double victor yesterday, as the man said he just ran out of laps, he was a lot further back in the field then checa and got bogged down in the start , thus making the job of catchin the leaders that much harder. His race pace was phenomenal 15 - 3rd and then 15 - 2nd , shows just what he can do, shame he got held up id have loved to see him duke it out with carlos, No one loves a scrap better than Haga,

MCN are quoting that he has signed with DFX corse to ride a one man Aprillia team with factory support, i just pray it aint a satelleite bike as the bike is new and has little in the way of ad-hoc development like the dukes have.

Nori can make any bike work so i wish him the best of luck

i would like to have seen nori stay on a duke but go to the althea team and partner checa, they obviously have found a niche in set up using the 2009 parts (suspension etc) which incidently all the private dukes are using. This is something the factory squad have not done using the modified 2010 chasis and suspension has clearly caused both their riders problems. Haga should not have had his midseason slump like he did.

Marinelli aint the right man for the job, if tardozzi was still leading this team then things may well have been different this year

Buelliful .

As a longstanding Ducati fan I have to ask after yesterday, "Why are Ducati pulling out again?"

Race 1 Ducati 1-2-3 (and half of the top 10!)
Race 2 Ducati 1-2-6-7-10 (again half the top 10)

I don't see BMW pulling out cos they only had 1 bike in either top 10, or Kawasaki cos they only had Sykes up there.
BTW. Kudos to Tom Sykes, that was an excellent performance on that dog of a Kawa.

Good job Nori, I hoped 2 wins but 2 podiums, that's not too shabby!

I think it could've been a great battle with Carlos but with this start from the end of the 4th row, it took him too much time...

Here's the MCN report...

Noriyuki Haga will ride a factory supported Aprilia RSV4 in 2011. MCN has learned that a deal has been put in place to run Haga in a one man team run by the current DFX Ducati squad.

The team is expected to receive official bikes from Aprilia and will also benefit from a number of Aprilia technicians in the team.

Haga last rode for the Italian manufacturer in 2003 when he competed in MotoGP onboard the RS3 Cube.

Excellent news Cubikrube, i was getting worried as the number of decent seats left in WSB was almost non-existant (no Suzuki factory support, ten kate down to one bike)

What was more impressive for me about Haga yesterday was that he didn't have his usual blistering start in both races, think he was 12th at the end of first lap in one of the races.
