No surprises here then. A bit less pressure for james this year being in this team. It never hurts being an underdog. Hopefully jt can get his old form back that we all know he is capable of.

The best thing that could have happend for JT to rebuild and show his skill. No surprise in 2004 he was NOT expected (or wanted when it happend at Magny cour) to win the WC by his team or anyone Laconi was the man and Xerox Ducati were almost sad when JT won it. Again in 2007 underdog Sat honda with Bayliss/Haga/Corser or Biaggi even more tipped to win.

JT does not perform in pressure at all (2005,2009,2010) case in point. But now expectations will be low even for BMW with Haslam/Corser their lead riders so he WILL perform better than last year. All the best and I hope he refinds his mojo!!

Not a bad move at all for JT with the factory support being available to four riders now. With the possibility of the first team going to Moto GP at some point, Motorrad Italia may well become the "official" WSBK team somewhere down the line, this could turn out to be a very good move for JT in WSBK. I wish him well.

I have said it time and time again it's the fact that JT never gets the full factory support he needs to succeed and he will obviously not get it on a B Team. Which is too bad since with full factory support he would be lapping the field 10x over.

@ jt needs, dont think anyone is taking your bait ! but one thing toseland does need to change as well, is his PR stuff? its a disaster ! the stuff that comes out of his camp(interviews) etc just heaps pressure on HIMSELF, especially if he cant live up to the predictions (for whatever reasons). he needs to play it down lot,no big predictions, and just get on with the job in hand(take note jt)

@JT needs Factory support

Even I can't believe the sh1te you come up with!!!! LOL!!!

The others are correct. He will do much better without the pressure to actually succeed. No one to impress but his secret "special friend" and his loving mum!!!

Please forgive a mothers love!!!!!

About time it was confirmed. I cant understand why teams always somehow let the cat out the back weeks and weeks before officially confirming things.

Anyway, good move for JT this in my opinion. He was the underdog in 2004 and 2007 and grabbed the championships. Although i have to slughtly disagree with some that say he cannot handle pressure. 2004 and 2007 shows that he can really. I do however think he was under more pressure than ever in 2010 though, so hopefully this move will ease the pressure as no ones really expecting great things from him in 2011, so if it happens, then great! Hey if he can do better than 9th overall on a 'new' bike and new to wsb team, then thats pretty good really.

I still think there is more to this move to BMW than meets the eye though, what with moto gp 1000's just around the corner.

Either way, 2 extra bikes on the grid is a good thing all round, whether your a fan, or a hater.
