wr86 - you asked if anyone had gone to MotoGP with Honda after winning WSB? The closest I can think of is John Kocinski - I beleive it was a condition of his contract that he went to GP's if he won the WSB title on the RC45 - he rode for Erv Kanemoto on the Honda 500 - perhaps that doesn't count because it wasn't the Repsol Honda team?

Good luck to JT and Ayrton Badovini - that team has some serious experience in terms of crew / management - it includes the guy who helped Fogarty to championship victory on a satellite Ducati when Corser and Chili were in the factory team. I understand it is a merger of the BMW Italia Superstock team with Feel Racing who employed 30 of the race staff for Xerox Ducati - most of the staff were sub-contracted.

I'll repeat the spirit of what another poster wrote in the vain hope that Roger Hairnet reads it - SORT OUT THE PR - no more silly predictions about titles with three manufacturers and beating Fogarty's records of race wins and championships. Let's see you do your talking on the track not in the MCN hospitality tent!

That's not my standard at all. I'm just talking about the sport in conversation, something some here can't do without getting defensive or personal.
But they are valid points. I've spoken to a lot of people over the years about 2002, who mention that Bayliss (in their opinion) cost himself the championship.

The point is Haga should never have been disqualified 2000 for something so trivial.

Neukirchner was after this seat too, but now he signed with MZ for Moto2. But wait it gets better. Crew chief will be Marcos Nicotari from Pro Ride Honda. Can't get any better...
So JT did for sure much better than some other guys.
