I see Rea being in the 2011 title fight along with Biaggi, Checa and possibly Melandri (if his testing form bears out). But then I thought that last year and we saw another season blighted by inconsistency.

2011 will be something of a make-or-break season for him because another 4th place in the series will begin to suggest that he's reached a plateau. Solving the chatter issues is certainly a part of that but he also needs to cut out the unforced errors and costly crashes. If both of those things happen then I think we might see the true measure of him next year.

hahaha, i saw this thread and saw 2 posts and i said to myself 'i bet rawdawgs's one of those', and low and behold he here is hahaha! I think he has some kind of love affair with this guy lol!

Ever thought that the inconsistency is not just down to the bike, but partly down to yourself?

2011 will be a similar to 2010 for Mr rea.

Whoa ! Easy guys...

Has anyone achieved a top 5 finish - let alone a podium or a win - on the blade in WSBK 2010 ?

The bike is definitely to blame. Max Neukirchner working wonders on the Suzuki only managed one (or two) top ten finishes all season long...

Rea deserves nothing but +props for his performances.

You're absolutely clueless if you think "this bike" won the title in 2007. A 2007 Blade looks nothing like a 2010 bike - stock off the showroom floor or in race trim. Never mind the documented troubles they've had with chatter the last 2 years or how they ditched WP suspension for Ohlins last year which didn't completely solve it or how Max N. completely feel about trying to come to grips with it.
