mspeed, last time I checked Xaus was on a Ten Kate Honda, not a BMW. So,unless BMW are supplying TenKate with bodywork...You know the rest.
Always quick old Ruben, pushes the thing wet or dry.
Maybe he's found a home at Honda.Hope so.

aeolus - 2003, not 2002. If my memory is right he did good the second half of the season, but not the first. His team mate Hodgson ended up winning it. Also, if I remember right, that year was a bit of a gimme cause all the factories pulled out except for Ducati.

matt, ok, 2003. I remember Xaus in 3rd behind Troy and Colin and Troy looking behind hoping Rubin would close and lend a hand. But he didn't. My guess that's the high point of his career.

pcxmac - too early to predict how well Melandri will do although he ought to be good, but with Xaus his track record doesn't suggest dumping anything down the toilet except the usual items: 2nd in 2003 behind Hodgson (a depleted field) and 6th in 2002 and 2007 are his WSB highlights - apart from those years he has finished between 10th and 17th in the championship. Even if he gels with the Honda I would expect a result somewhere around the top 15.

luckiest bloke in the paddock. gets ousted from bmw, a rising team and then finds himself at a BETTER team at ten kate honda. good luck to him though. big fan of his never say die attitude, even if it does mean he ends up in the gravel half the time :p
