And in recognition of your outstanding achievements on track and the likelihood some pikey will hook your mobile home's TV arial sooner or later, it gives me great pleasure to present you with this spare.

Well done Leon, you deserve it ... whatever it actually is.

Although journalists usually spout rubbish and know nothing, no one can argue with them in this instance. Of course Haslam was UK's number 1 this year, who else would be?

Oh hang on, i await the Rea fans stamping their feet saying Rea deserves it instead!

It's a fair old feather in his cap for winning nothing.
I would go with Daveyboy, either Hutchy or Scott Redding. But before people start jumping up and down, say well Scott Redding won nothing. Just think about what it must have been like for a teenager to go through the trauma he must have endured at and after Misano, then come back has strong as he did.
Then Hutchy, to achieve what he did in one week on the Isalnd, well we may never see that again, then go on and win races at the Ulster. A superb achievement.

Haslam also won some races and came closer to winning a world championship than any other Brit rider - so well deserved. The Suzuki was hardly changed from 2009 - did anyone seriously expect that performance from Haslam this time last year - I think not! Put away the blinkers - that is why Haslam got the award.

Redding may win the award next year.
