He just tweeted that he has had surgery on the shoulder, so I doubt it's excuse making.

Hopefully he can get fit for the start of the season.

Laverty is still going to wipe the floor with him even if he is fit though.

Probably just a slip of the tongue that the press are jumping all over. These guys can barely breath without sombody writing an article about it. Must be tough to be a reporter/writer in the winter time. Haha!
But, yes, Laverty is gonna make him want to retire anyway.

Im sure Marco will be ready. He is still a very good rider and I am sure with more of a even playing field he will show his skills. I was not happy with his actions last year on the Honda always bashing his Manufacturer and giving excuses for feel, this is why I prefered that Yamaha stick to someone that is currently on a Yamaha, someone like Josh Hayes, simply an opinion.

Hopefully he does what it takes to sit on the grid at the opening round. It will be a heck of a season, seeing him go against Biaggi again would be pretty interesting.

Yeah, Josh Hayes would have made him want to retire too. Josh is no spring chicken either but seems to still have the fire in his belly for racing, Like Laverty. Marco, not so much these days.
Hope he proves me wrong.

Anyone heard the outcome of the surgery yet? Was the problem ID'd & fixed or was it simply some scope type exploratory work? Hopefully it's nothing that will prevent him from racing...he really needs to come good this year. Already looking forward to a 2011 filled with surprise finishes and good racing.
