WSBK » Xaus stays top, Smrz fastest overall

Haga sets the best time in S6, but the best laps of the week all come from the first day of action

Smrz is definately fast, but it never seems to translate into the races. He's done well during a lot of the FP's and QP's, but the results just haven't come. I hope he finally gets a bunch of wins like he deserves.

Yep Tyler, you're right. He's able to do a pole position and then during first lap he drops to 10th place or lower. Later during the race he begins to catch up and he's doing some very fast laps but it's already too late. Once he manages to do a good start, he usually crashes or his bike breaks down :)

Smrz is quick for sure, but only on a few laps it seems. If he can sort his first half of the race out he could be up there. He seems to get lost at the start then leave himself with a lot of work to do, by which time, its difficult to get up there. Pretty much like spies really. Both seem to go backwards to start with, then start moving forwards when its too late.

According to his own words he knows his starts are not good, but he sees even bigger problem in first 3-5 laps of the race, when he can't catch a rythm...Once he warms up, he's fast, but its usually too little too late :) I also think that he could use a bit more agresivity.

I really want this dude to do well! He definitely has it..whatever it is but I agree with most on here that he cannot seem to get it together at the beginning of a race which leaves him with too much work to do at half distance to the end. Anyway, it would be good to see a "new" face challenging for the win and more podiums (PS. I am aware he is not new to WSBK so my reference is for wins and podiums). I know many people believe Xaus is done as well but I like the guy and hope that this Honda turns it all around for him. In the end it makes for a better, less predictable show when we do not know who will win or the same top guys dominating.
