I can relate to that.
Had to stop at a junction for a long line of cagers this morning.
Put down my left hoof, vaguely aware of a strong steady wind from the left. Not thinking much about it, watching traffic instead. Big gust flipped it over to the right. No probs, but not what really what was expected :)

Never been blown over only across roads. I did once drop it at a stand still though. I was hoping to impress the girl in the forward car with my 'riding skills' but all I did was lean the bike over to the right, go to put my right foot down....aaannndddd...over I went. My trainer's (aka Sneakers) laces had got caught round the foot peg. Humm. I don't think it worked :D

Two real bikers post real flukey situations they have had on their bikes in response to a flukey situation on track. Did you miss that? Where was I talking only about my own post.

People should care about what I said too. I've ridden since I was legally old enough and am now 44. I have experience. Any biker with half a brain would read my little story and realise what could happen if that ocurred to them under any other circumstances. Let me SPELL it out: if this happens whan you are turning off a road across oncoming traffic you get to see the car/truck thats going to drive over your torso if you if you fall in the direction you are intending. Fall the other way and you just get to hear it. Any idea what a 3 ton vehicle travelling at say 40 mph will do if you are not killed on impact. Think major soft organs and broken sharp ribs being churned together with immense force. I was about 22/24 yo when that happened to me and I immediately changed my laces, how i tied them and how I took
