Haha nice of crash to say in the heading "chris to miss season" making us all think he'll miss everything. Not very nice to use this as a way to grab a cheap headline

His facebook and twitter is saying he is on his way to the island today and cant wait for test to start.

"Had a quick cycle this morning now packing and off to Philip Island, start testing monday, can't wait!"

I think this was always going to happen, his knee just isn't ready. I feel that Chris should withdraw and get himself fit and then accept that he will have to rebuild his career from the ground up (WSS, BSB?). Fortunately he's a very talented rider, so if he still has the drive and hasn't got 'the fear', he'll make it. But his health is more important than trying to start races half fit where he can damage his leg beyond repair. Either way I wish him all the best, he's a great rider.

I know he is contracted to race for kawasaki this year but isn't there a clause stating the rider must be of use after almost 12 months out of action. Kwaka ya wasting good money when there are plenty of fit and able racers out there looking for a job. Vermeulen is past it and should hang up his leathers.

I cant help but feel Vermeulens move to Kawasaki was totally driven by money (it has been reported that he is the best paid rider in the WSB paddock)

Not a great omen that just before the start of the season he still aint fully healed up
