WSBK » Checa pips Biaggi to PI pole

Checa comes up against his strongest opposition during Superpole, but does just enough to secure a third career WSBK pole position.

Once again it's gonna be a better WSBK season than MotoGP...

Also LOL at Troy Corser's personal sponsor PUSSY energy drink decals plastered all over his white Arai as he does a standing wheelie.

Good to heve bikes back but no evidence of improved telly production. Where were the on boards and new tv graphics are dreadful. Did I really see Silverstone come up as the circuit at the start of super pole 2. Sponsors seem to have diminished no Hannspree or came bill boards. Racing hopefully as good as ever though.

Checa may do well at what has always been a Ducati track, but I think the season is shaping up to be repeat of last ... Biaggi, with Haslam trying to stay on terms. Anyway, just great to finally get back to some racing.

mr slide, yes Jonny Rea is feeling the pressure. After having an oil line explode on his bike causing his 130mph crash on Friday resulting in a tendon rupture and other injuries, it's not suprising he's feeling a bit of pressure to get the job done.

But being Jonny Rea he soliders on regardless and still manages to make his teammate look slow.

With Rea gridded so far aft of the front row, these P.I. races may bear more than a little resemblance to 10 pins. Next year we might hear turn one refered to as "J.R.'s bowling alley"

Strike - I hope not. I want to see the racing decided on track not riders crashing.

A lot of other riders crashed this weekend so far - not just Rea, but he is undoubtedly the most beat up.

Honourable mention to Smrz who lost the front during Superpole and took a nasty tumble, but rushed back and put in a good time on his second bike.

Finally - yes the new graphics are terrible and I couldn't read the figures - had to juggle the laptop on live timing with the TV.

Good luck to one and all.

TV graphics were good i thought, especially the first second and third sector lights and every rider being shown on the side of the screen, felt like i knew what was going on much more than normal... I'm definately cheering on Leon Haslam tomorrow, would be fantastic to see him pushing for a podium on the new beemer...
