WSBK » Toseland hampered by lack of testing

The team blames a lack of testing prior to the start of the race weekend for failing to get on terms with its rivals.

Be fair, Toseland doesn't actually make any excuse.. it's his team manager who said it.

Did anyone see what happened in race 1 between him and that Aussie?

bah.. Donnington is too far away. I want racing this weekend!

Dont be silly........

The bike needs development. Toseland should thrive in this team/environment though. No pressure to win championships so should give him a chance to build up confidence.

Early days, but if he can do well on the bike he may ultimately end up with a BMW factory seat.

Dont think we have seen all of JT yet, but he has work to do.

What a dismal weekend. Even Pedercini scored better. James has been shown by Leon what the BMW is cabable of, the thing for BMW Italia is that even with more testing they'll still be playing catch up during Donington. Anyway when they are sorted out, if Haslam can get the bike on the podium then James can as well.

I am British, I am a marginal JT supporter (because he is my countryman and he's a 2x title winner) but the sad fact IMHO is that there are plenty of riders who could get on that bike, with or without testing, and get a better finish. It's raw talent by his own admission he lacks - working hard makes up for some, but not all. When the Yam worked for him last year he did real well and I'd love to see it again... I just don't think the BMW will be his bike.

Firstly before i start i shall enlighten the bashers (or basher!) with 2 facts....

1.) JT is NOT making any excuses at all.
2.) JT does NOT have the same bike as Haslam/Corser.

I have to say a technical issue with both satalite bikes is a huge dissappointment and such a shame as JT was going really well in race 2 cutting through as he does when the bikes running well. Injector problem for Badovini is not good either. This shows the that bike/team certainly needs more work.

@Darkside above, JT has lack of talent you say? Well, ironically, he has acheived more in WSB than ANYONE on that grid, so what does that say about the others! Haha!

I'm a huge JT fan and would love to see him in top form again like 2007. I think it's sad to say but i get the impression another great WSB rider and champion has had his career ruined by MotoGP. Hodgson left after he won the championship and then was never the same, Xaus has never really been the same since he came back. I want to see JT bach where he belongs at the front battling for the win... hopefully we will.
