I agree! Can't really think of why you would hate on Spies.

I think Spies has to beat Rossi few times and then he'll have a heap of haters. It just seems to work like that around here!

BTW Fantastic effort by Melandri. Hope he keeps it up and duels with Checa all season.

Im elated for Marco.
Many have written him off over the past 2 years but yet, here he is proving those people wrong.
Congrats to him on his strong and entertaining performances!

Yes he did have a good weekend and Biaggi made it worse for himself and everyone is jumping on the Biaggi bashing bandwagon, but Melandri is a notorius cry baby and he needs to man up a little because when things go wrong for him you can bet your best dollar that his bottom lip will be dragging around all over the paddock........he had one good season in motogp(never came close to winning on the 990 M1, Biaggi won two in its first season) and he took forever to win the 250 title with the works Aprilia....a good rider yes, a great rider no....lets not get ahead of ourselves gentlemen...

Melandri, Checa and Biaggi, all winners at GP level, there stock then falls a little but upon arriving in WSB they rediscover that winning way and just look the class of the field(sadly Biaggi presently could not be classed as such!! total disgrace)
Reckon most of us are guolty of wondering if Melandri would get into the groove but there are no such concerns now, boy he looks good and on the brakes into bends just unstopable, excuse the pun!

Melandri on form can take it 2 rossi, whn off form couldnt take it 2 carl harris. Think biaggi shot himself in the foot, his silly mind games seem 2 fuel melandri, hope he keeps fueling him.

I agree with Grantd a little...

In the story it reads that Marco remarked he 'had a head cold'.
Well he won the first race and got a second in the second!
Why did he say that? To justify why he didn't win?
It's crazy! He doesn't need to make excuses!

Someone said that Melandri is the fastest rider on the planet, but only if it's a race that falls within a month when the sun aligns with the moon, and Jupiter is infront of Uranus...
I agree. When it goes well, it's great.
When it goes wrong, then it's very mediocre indeed.

Jon, Read it again where is the excuse? He said it was a difficult race for him because of health issues. No where does he say I did not win because I had a cold. Its not an excuse, he is simpley saying he found it hard to concentrate because he had a cold is that hard to understand of intepret. Had he said I would have won that race if it was not for this head cold.. that would have been an excuse. He mentioned difficulty in the first race as well but I don't think he was making an excuse for not winning the race more convincingly simpley that it did not help his cause. As for his ability he is one of the best but needs a very good package to compete, almost identical to Biaggi who is F'n useless unless the bike is absolutely perfect.

I thought Marco was a washed up has been who was going to get it handed to him by his rookie teammate.

What happened to all of that talk?
