WSBK » Badovini: I need Toseland's input

Ayrton Badovini scores an encouraging ninth place finish at Donington Park, but is hoping James Toseland will return soon to keep pushing the BMW Italia team in the right direction.

surely toseland dosent have to be fit to race in order to show up for work, as soon as his operation (if hes getting one, cant remember from the previous article!) is over then he can be down there helping with the development of his teams bike, helping Badovini!! no??

Always better to have two riders for development work, but at the same time it's no bad thing for AB to concentrate on what works for him as opposed to what might work for JT.

He seemed to take a step up at the weekend anyway so he appears to be headed in the right direction.

Personally I think this is being taken out of context.
Aryton has been kind enough (and PC enough) to name check his team mate and say that things will move forward when they're both racing.

The headline makes it sound like:
" I need James to develop the bike, I can't do it, it's too much for one man, I don't know how etc etc"

Of course BMW need as many riders out there as possible, but in all honesty, it's arguably a better bike than the Honda and Suzuki anyway..

@ Valencia2006 - why not go a step further and just do the bike development over the phone - or even better let's all do it from our keyboards.

Well duh, he broke his wrist. He can't type develop with a broken wrist over the phone. :)

I got a chance to chat to some of the Yamaha team. They said that at the beginning of last year they started JT with Spies's setup from the previous year, but he changed it all & they went on a completely different route.
This year they started Marco on JT's setup & it didnt work so he changed it, & it's almost back to what Spies was using & they're back to winning again.
