Am I missing something here - Crash are that desperate for a story they run a comment someone made over two years ago.

Not to mention the fact that Ben Spies is so far up himself he actually thinks that someone would faint at the thought of him signing for them

I can still remember all the haters and doubters who commented on Spies not being worthy of a WSBK ride. Or a MotoGP ride!!! Nice to see some cross sides to support Spies considering nearly 75% of the comments on this site were just to bash him a couple of years ago. I still remember the comments made after Phillip Island race 1 where he ran off course and people already wrote him off.

I agree with janey that this is strangely old news, but I don't remember Ben ever being full of himself. He's always been soft spoken and humble, choosing his words wisely. I suppose if you don't like him it's possible to read something into his words that aren't there---but that's on you not Ben.

Why do spies fans always bring up toseland? Its really weird and quite freaky that a few of them have some obsession with the guy.

Anyway, yes crash must be struggling for stories digging this one up. Lets hope spies can prove the bashers wrong by actually showing us some results this season.Lets hope he betters last years performances, otherwise people will be saying its a waste of a factory ride.
