Impressive stuff from Badovini on that satellite Beemer. He likes Monza and won the Superstock 1000 race here by over 6s last year. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep this form up over the weekend.

Wow, the bimmers are on fire but what is with Haslam?! Rea rocks again...the Aprilias are above 320 km/h, not only Biaggi but Camier and Haga as well.
Kawasakis are not too good at this stage however they were closer to the top till the very end...and Vermi is climbing up...slowly but steadily, keep it up dude!! Hope JT finds his form again as well!

It's Jonathan Rea that always impresses me !! Such a determined rider with so much skill and talent. Fingers crossed there are no disasters this year Jonny my boy !!!

Looking to be one HELLUVA weekend.

The Kwaks just ran out of time at the end, but only FP1.
Sykes and Joan running up top was gr8.

Badovini very impressive and Corser too.
So many high points, very exciting session.

MCN reported earlier in the week that Aprillia have been testing a special "monza spec" engine. Be sure to see them break some straightline records.
I wish Haga had the same spec Aprillia , its heartbreaking seeing him so low and watching the works bike fly past him on the straight will be even more so. It seems like only yesterday I saw Haga demolish the opposition on his way to a double in 2007 at Monza on the old Santander Yamaha R1 screamer!
Ahhh the memories......will they ever return?

One things for sure Nori is too old and wise now to override bikes like he used too to make up for there shortcomings. He rarely gets it out of shape as he doesnt push that hard anymore , well it seems like that to me. I guess three kids a wife and being runner up so many times takes its toll on ya some day!

I can only hope

Did Haslam fall? Or was he just getting used to the bike on the circuit? Corser's raced here on a BMW before. Leon always seems to have slow times on first FP, then bangs it on for the qualifying. I hope so anyway! Hope it isn't another flop race for him!

Rea is always quick but what a ride so far from Corser and Badovini!!
