WSBK » Laverty storms to maiden WSBK victory

The Irishman showed excellent race craft to fend off the clear speed advantage of the Aprilia down the long straights.

Great ride from Eugene. He's always been good at Monza.

And Max again showing that while he's one of the smoothest riders, he's still prone to make mistakes and get flustered when under pressure.

Excellent race from Eugene and a well deserved 1st victory. Leon's BMW is a quick bike but my god, Max's Aprilia just mirror, indicator, pow! Blew straight past.
That is one seriously quick bike.

Awesome ride by Norge, especially against that RSV rocketship of Biaggi's. Laverty rode flawlessly, especially the braking into that first chicane where he made Max look like a schoolboy racer.

Nice bit of damage limitation by Checa, that Ducati isn't going to get anywhere against the Aprilia, BMW and Yamaha.

The Fireblade, on the other hand, looked awful. It couldn't pass Corser on the straights and left Rea with a lot of work to do into the turns. Frustrating to say the least for Johnny.

Beautiful just beautiful, eat humble pie Max!
Under pressure he made masses of mistakes and as James Whitam said "if he had been on any other bike he would have finished 10th"
Max lost it even with his superduper rocketship which if you saw the pre-race build up on Eurosport every single rider who they spoke to commented on how fast his bike was !

Why did these donkeys give haga a ride through ?
He got sat up by Checa who went in to overtake before entry to the chicane, he had no option but to run through.
Dumb monkeys these race control folk are,

It should be interesting now to see what happens in race 2
I reckon Biaggi is gonna be mad, lets see if he can come back having been broken once !

Eurosport commentator said "it annoys me that any other rider than Biaggi with his strong aprilia would finish 10th after so many mistakes." Well, if it is true then he should say that Camier is absolute loser because he did not make visible mistake and finished 8th on the same bike like Biaggi. I think aprilia is fast but it is difficult to ride it in the corners (maybe they have similar problems like ducati have had in motoGP since 2007). Biaggi is great rider, no discussion about it.

Excellent ride by Laverety and a well deserved win. Watching him on the brakes was scary. Biaggi has shown agin that he can get flustered and make silly mistakes, no point in having the fastest bike if you keep making mistakes. Good rides by Haslam and Melandri also. What is wrong with Rea, can never see him winning a championship with his inconsistancy. Is Camier getting a second class bike????

To be fair, fairman, Biaggi has a lot more experience than Camier :) but I agree with the commentator (Jack burnacle? Jamie Whitham?) that any other rider with a different bike and that many mistakes would have been way down the order. That Aprilia is a mean machine!!
