Great ride by just drafted into the MCN fantasy league Laverty...phew!
Amused by Biaggi...oldest head in the pack makes a rookie error yet again
Happy and gutted at the same time for Nori, great racing mind
All in all a very enjoyable day, WSS saved for later due to missus supporting Man U so we are watching that first....rarity that bikes come 2nd in our house lol
I do love Monza

Wow - you are also not allowed to gain time, but Biaggi gained at least half a second - he was five + seconds ahead and could have lost some time, but chose to accelerate immediately on rejoining the track - the penalty was therefore inevitable.

Biaggi made up .4 of a second when he missed the first set of corners. He had over 5 seconds on his rival and yet he chose not to slow up but gain a bigger advantage. The rules are pretty clear and it was a very stupid mistake given that he had the race in the bag even if he slowed a little on that lap.
Don't blame the rules and Biaggi will be kicking himself, wonder if he thought being Italian might sway it lol

Excellent day's racing on Eurosport & 2 British winners. Well done Eugene & Chas.
BTW does anyone know why they play the Republic of Ireland national anthem for when Eugene tops the podium? Should be The UK anthem.

It is because Eugene considers himself Irish. He wears green on his leathers, helmet and bike.I'm pretty sure he has an Irish passport too.

Eurosport annoyed me today with their "British victory" spin on the race.He was an Irishman when he wasn't winning in previous rounds, now all of a sudden,he is British .I understand he is from Toomebridge in Northern Ireland but he and Rea are in a wierd situation where they can choose between nationalities.

Sponsors also might have an impact on the flag they choose to run under.

I personally hope to hear Amhran na bhfiann more times this year.
