Thx Englishgent for explaining that. Someone had better explain to Jack & James that Laverty is Irish, not British.
Maybe "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" could be played for Chas. It works at rugby matches.

Eugene has always competed using an Irish racing license - I have read that he gets personal sponsorship for racing in Irish colours.

His two brothers who race do so with UK racing licenses.

As the gentleman said - he has the right to choose.

While people are talking to Jack Burnicle and James Whitham - I love the commentary, but during the Superstock 1000 you keep referring to the Australian Pedercini Kawasaki rider as "Stare ing" - please note it is pronounced "Star ing"

Well Done Laverty, Great win. Huge fan of his, i have been since his first supersport season. He'ss also Northern Irish which makes it better, my girlfreind lives there so great for that country as the North West is soon.

Irish eyes are smiling tonight...Come oooonnnn Eugene, More wins pls..

Mind u Burnicle needs to get a map out :

" Brit laverty "
" Ulsterman Laverty "
" Irishman Laverty"

Bloody hell make up your mind. Here's a hint , Irish flag beside his name on all information and Irish national anthem playing wshen he wins,HE's Irish , Respect his decision

This was all settled before, when Laverty started winning races in WSS there was an upstart of bitterness with the Irish flag, so what, lets just call him an IRISH BRIT. Everyone ok with that, now lets get the Laverty season under way.

@ Laverty's the man

You could say all those statements are true. But Eugene races under a irish licence something to do with his personal sponsor i hear so irish it is. Anyway its getting really tiresome reading all the jibes on way or the other. Having lived in N.I. for over 40 years it really does get pathetic. Keep that crap off here. I know im wasting my time. Fantastic weekends races - thought eugene could make it people forget the little superbike experience he has.

There is zero consequence for blowing the chicane as long as you re-enter in the prescribed area and do not gain an advantage. That, IMO, makes it a pretty useless corner.

If you try and overtake someone and overcook the corner, no biggie, you just re-enter right behind the other rider in the same place you were in, which is BS. Outbrake yourself on any other track and you're in the kitty litter and you've lost many places.

I'm fine with the whole 'this is a horse power track', but IMO that chicane ruins the whole circuit.
