That's one (cynical) way to interpret the remarks. I think he was talking about horsepower (and altitude) and didn't translate his words carefully.

Unless they run 5 lap sprint races, you can rule Troy out of a podium. He will be chasing top 5 finishes, rather than podiums. Leon on the other hand is a definite title contender. Just needs a few things to go his way.

A full factory effort like Kawasaki and all they can dream of is a 3rd place! No wonder they backed down on GP.
Just goes to show where SBK is messed up, the bike in superstock is top of the tree, take the championship back to its roots where modified street bikes actually raced not prototypes.

It must be good for Leon to know that he has a
strongly motivated manufacturer supporting him
with plenty of money and very keen to succeed.
This will give him loads of confidence,and I
think we will see a lot more success from him
this year.
