That looked like the Haga of old. Qualifying in a lowly position & scything his way up to the front! He looked good the first race too but unfortunately suffered some type of mechanical issue that forced him to the happened right after Melandri & Camier crashed out in front of him & he had to take major evasive action. But glad he came good in race 2 & now if only the Pata Aprilia team can secure some upgrades to their electronics to minimize tyre wear, then Haga will be in the hunt for a regular podium finish the rest of the way out.

Nori aint forgotten how to ride, the boys still got it in him, he has been knocking on the door of a podium for awhile im glad he got that in such style, Race one would have had a similar outcome had he not gone out with technical problems. He had gone from 17-7 in two laps!
and was on the charge . The pass on Haslam and Badovini at the end reminded me of the Haga of old.

mono is right they need to sort the electronics of the bike out as Haga has led races this year only to be midpack by the end of the race due to tyre wear.
Also he has had 3-4 dnfs which is not doing his standings in the championship any good either.
I fear that the bike he is on is a bit of a dog, this is the team that caused Smrz to go running back to Ducati last season after a brief stint on the Aprillia.
I wish Max Biaggi would grow a pair and let Nori run the factory Aprillia engine and electronics. Then we would see whoose boss!

another point to note....

If anyone caught the post race interview with Haga on eurosport, he clearly stated he isnt at one with the settings on the bike yet, he was saying something about the team having problem with suspension settings.
I do hope and pray he can get it dialled in as a on form Haga is pure magic to behold and entertainment personified. Arguably one of the most exciting riders ever to have graced motorcycling , for the wrong and the right reasons!

Here we go again, blaming Biaggi for Haga's shortcomings. As we know Haga was a dominant force in WSBK and champion multiple times until Biaggi joined the series and dictated what Haga should ride. Hell, Ducati dropped Haga on Biaggi's say so.

Good to see nori back up front. He's had problems at a lot of the races which have put him.Yeah he's crashed in a few but mostly it's been mechanical.

oh and on the subject of biaggi's poularity, you'd be surprised(or not) that he doesnt seem that popular in italy.i went to monza in 09 and 10 and when anyone overtook him or he fell off there were a lot of cheers/jeers,and you could hear that this year when he got that penalty in monza
