This guy is unbelievable! Before the start of the year I hoped he can reach the podium, but after seeing him in the first races and the performance of the BMW I thought top 10 results are the maximum.
But since Monza he's getting better and better. It was a fascinating battle with NitroNori, both are big favourites of mine, so I was happy with the first podium of the year for Haga as well. Hope it will be the time of Badovini very soon!

I thought he had potential when he rode for Pedercini on the Kwak.Suprised somebody didnt take the gamble on him in World Supers last year.Glad to see him up there and challenging.

Badovini is far better than he is often given credit. I don't think many will remember him winning the Imola round of the Superstock 1000 in 2009 on his first outing aboard the Aprilia RSV-4, which was easily the slowest bike in its class. He was actually DQ'd from that win because of a non-performance related technical infringement, but it's a sign of how good a rider he is.

Though the team is doing very well, I actually think he is out-performing the bike slightly and would be a regular front runner on a factory machine (perhaps Ducati are going to need an Italian rider alongside Checa if they return properly in 2012...?)

I'm surely one of the few who remember. He started the year with a private Kawasaki, but was sacked because of financial issues. Then he did the wild-card for Aprilia, started on pole, one the race, but was disqualified later. Maybe you remember that he took part also at the next race, started from third on the grid, held the position until the last corner where he crashed. So he took 0 point in the championship instead of a lot.
