I definitely don't belong to the Ducati=too much advantages group but gotta say they're pretty much doing alright on a supposed to be horsepower-track. Nothing to take away from Checa, but if the new 1099 with the new short-stroked engine is that good in terms of power as they say, the others will have a problem next year...again.
On the other hand please someone give this Aitchinson guy a proper Kawasaki for next year. He rides way better as his bike should allow it. :)

On the contrary Trr, Brno has ALWAYS been a Ducati track. One smooth 90 degree corner after another linked with relatively short straights plays right into the hands of the Ducati .. good stability through flowing corners, the V-twin punch on the way out, and not enough straight for the fours to use their horsepower advantage. Look at the results over the years and Ducati has always dominated here.
A horsepower track is Monza, and look how the Ducati's did there ... nowhere.

You're right, from the onboard views it was obvious that the Ducs are absolutely not competetive in straight line speed. Biaggi was storming away from Checa as soon as they get on the gas. The R1 was no different, it must be on pair with the RSV4 in terms of power.
