Perhaps Simon Buckmaster was wrong when said, "John Hopkins is a quality rider and might make a challenge for a top six result but even if he rides to his best he will most likely be lucky to see a top eight."

That may have pissed off Hopper.

I'm not sure why seeing an American wildcard at the top of the charts at a British track made me giggle.

Very surprised to see JT up there, very impressive.

It's not the same seeing a Rizla Suzuki in MotoGP without Hopper straddling it. It's great to see him back at the top end! Come on Hopper!! :D

Also, welcome back BMW! Hopefully they'll all stay there after Qualifying! :D

I Know its only Fp1 but so much for the performance gap !!! Hahaha

The times will tumble and the usual protagonists rise and normal service will be resumed.

Can't Wait for the races !!!
