Gheez... the contrast between Hopkins and Kirkham couldn't be bigger ! First and last.
Also worrysome, Kirkham is starting to get left behind in BSB too. What's going on with him ?

Excellent performance from Hopper, I hope he has a great performance this weekend and at his upcoming MotoGP wildcard.

I would love to see this guy on a satellite Motogp Honda, Yamaha, or factory Superbike next year.

This just goes to show how weak this WSBK series is.. all Backmarkers from MotoGP are front runner here and all WSBK Champs are running midpack or in the back at MotoGP level. in 2009 Ben Spies came from the AMA series and won the championship in his rookie season. doesnt that tells you how weak this fileds and the competition at WSBK level.

@Gixxer1K,

Is that why the WSBK rejects like Hill and Byrne are running in the front of BSB, because they're slow?

By the way, Hopper and Laverty would have qualified 6th and 7th on the grid in MotoGp this year with their Superpole times!

One more thing, Spies didn't win in 2009 because the field was weak, he won because he was an exeptional rider! That's why he got a pole, podiums and ROTY on a satelite bike his rookie season in MotoGp! And the reason he was promoted to factory Yamaha this season!
