WSBK » Biaggi out of Imola, concedes WSBK crown

The Aprilia Alitalia rider is still suffering with the foot injury that also ruled him out the running at the Nurburgring.

He'll retire at the end of the season. He's proved his point. Won WSBK and likely runner up the following (this) year.
What else is there to prove ? he has a young family and is worth about 100,000,000 Euro's so why bother ?
Go do something less dangerous, or be a development rider for Aprilia like Bayliss does for Ducati.

yep, and also for a man of his age to take the gamble to go onto a totally new bike, new team, new everything and win the title in its second season is an outstanding achievement. and its not a honda, yamaha suzuki or ducati.

Also it proved when he was able to push development in the way he wanted it worked. Perhaps if yamaha had listen to him they would of won more during their time together.

Old school smooth rider. Beautiful style to watch.

Hope he won't retire at the end of the year. There was some interesting action in Germany, but another race without him is going to be dismal.

I'm a huge Biaggi fan, have been for as long as he has been racing. It would hurt me to see him leave but it wouldn't bother me, because he got another title after being in the wilderness for so long, and on an Aprilia to boot, he went home. It would be a good time to go, or perhaps just one more kick, the man still has fight in him.

Hmmm... I'm not a Biaggi fan but this looks like he'll retire at the end of the season which will be sad because even though i don't like him but he does produce a lot of entertainment
