WSBK » Three points separate Checa from WSBK glory

Carlos Checa requires just three points to ensure he wins the 2011 World Superbike Championship at Magny-Cours in a week's time.

Am I the only one that thinks Checa's championship devalues the WSBK series?
"He's a nice guy". That maybe true, but he's also about 70 and he was average at his very best in MotoGP.

Embarrassing to see this guy win the title. Hes been a huge underperformer and crasher for years.
Annoys me how he keep getting rides cos hes 'a nice guy'.
Also, Ducatis love for him and wanting him to test the 1199 is sickening- like many riders theyve binned him in the past. When he winning, like now hes all of a sudden 'part of the family'.
like Lavilla, this guys useless until he jumped on a high tech Ducati. Take the money Carlos and ride a BMW next year, win on that lol

It's funny that when Baylis and Haga were on the machine it wasn't an equipment advantage, especially when Haga was suppossed to have won the title in 2009. 2010 saw Checa spank Haga and Fabs, as well as Shakey, and then in 2011 he is going to take the title. How could it be that 'Carelss Chucker' is better than Haga and Shakey????????????

His winning the title does not devalue the series. What it does show is that the current crop of world supers are not ready to move to GP. If you cannot beat a GP 'has been', you have no business moving forward.

It's also ironic that since 2009 people have complained that the only ones winning the title are the ones with the biggest equipment advantage. Spies, Biaggi and now Checa. Funny how the following year of Spies and Biaggi that machine is not winning the title. You expect me to believe that the 1198 is more advanced than the almighty RSV4 that you claimed had such an advantage last year?

Let me know when you guys decide when a ride
