checa is winning like rossi used to do back in the old days: wait till 5 or 6 laps to go and then ride away... i don't know whether it is because the 4s eat the tyres faster than the twins or what but it's a bit boring...

There is no doubt that Carlos was really fast this year, but you saw him with honda that he wasn't so fast, also last year he wasn't so good, even he scored some good results. This year with these pirelli tires twins have got a big advantage and Carlos is just benefiting it. Even that probably the next year will be different. Great race for both riders who were on the podium!

Right now the WSB championship has absolutely no credibility whatsoever. I will not watch this championship again until the rules that so obviously favour ONE small time manufacturer are addressed.

congratulations to Carlos for a faultless year:)

BUT! 1200cc vs 1000cc is just wrong. Add some Pirelli "magic" with tires that suit softer power delivery and do the math yourself...

Back in the real world 4-cyl 1000cc rule the street and the track. And they do it with a level of reliability and consistency that the Italian bikes just cannot offer right now...

I wonder why I don't see too many 1198Rs in endurance racing if they are that good

i agree with some of the comments above stick checa back on the honda and see were he is then ??? ducati can only win by cheating or flouting the rules should we say .as i have said in a previous posting the other runners should up their ccs to 1200 as well and if the organisers dont allow them then pull out of the wsb and let it be a ducati championship as they seem to want .i never miss a race but as soon as the duc makes the front i turn off cos its ****e to watch then .remember the 750 days ducati said it costs to much to keep with them so we need a bigger engine so how much is it costing the other teams to attempt to keep up with ducati or does that not matter .come on the organisers make it fair again or you will only have ducati fans watching a boring race .lets see if the bsb rules are equal next year

The rules to equalize performance (over a single lap) are 99% correct. This weekend (& at many races this year) we've had 5-6 different manufacturers in the top 6 positions, & yesterday all 16 riders that qualified for Superpole were within 1 second.

The 3 major problems that need to be addressed are
1) performance over a full race distance,
2) the 'Top 2'system used for adding or removing weight, &
3) the practice of over-simplifying & dividing all bikes / manufacturers into either 'twins vs fours' - while within the 'fours' camp there are screamers, V4's & big bang configurations.

@racer 50

Maybe its a bit of overexhuberance on ur part,but much as Checa might be a decent racer,his name doesnt belong in the same sentence as Rossi,and look at all Rossi can do when he rides a Ducati in a level playing field
