MotoMan - money perhaps? Also, if you're one of the few running Showa then you'll get more dedicated support?

Although I'd rather use the Ohlins most other teams are running and generating so much more data with...

ummm.....Doohan, Rossi, Lawson, Gardner all won on Showa suspension. Showa make the BPF for Kawasaki and Suzuki roadbikes also. They would get better treatment than just being an Ohlins customer.

Look at it this way.

Everyone complains that it's "not production racing anymore". Kawasaki at least are running on real-world forks and are not miles off the front.

That crash in race 2 was so unlucky and completely unavoidable. Checa rode his line, and, being in front, was allowed to choose his line. Tom went for the pass and got shut down, and had to avoid taking Carlos out, and when you pull the brakes leaned over like that, you're going down.

Hope they both retain their spots for 2012.

Ohlins bought themselves back out of the deal! Ohlins and the data support ain't all they a re cracked up to be, nothing wrong with Showa..or K Tech for that matter.

Tom is for sure the 1# rider because he has the speed... i'm know he could sunday ride to an easy top 10 but he pushes every weekend to get into the top 5 and it burns up his tires or he crashes because of the pace.

1.They should go for Ohlins,if they want experiments they should stay at home.(see ducati+carbon frame etc).If it is money object stay at home once more, wsbk means money, and this was the reason behind the motogp withdrawal!

2.Sykes behind Lascorz, and both behind the Suzuki ONLY rider(Fabrizio)...excuse me but this has only one name FAILURE.
