surely a year in bsb with two possible wild card shots at wsb would be a natural progression. i think they should give gse racing a call See what they are up nowadays. would be great to see that bike in bsb

KTM in WSB? That can't be a bad thing.Yet another manufacturer will make the series even stronger and even more competitive and exciting to watch. WSB has been making MotoGP look like that boring F1 and this move will make it seem even more so. Yamaha has said it will withdraw its factory team but it looks like they will do the same as Ducati (with Altea) and support a satelite team with factory parts, so WSB is looking good for the future. We just need Suzuki to put some cash into their effort and the series will be without doubt the best there is.

Can't see why KTM would even consider going to BSB for the purposes of development now that the 2012 bikes will run lower spec engines?

Wilcards are the only way forward for teams looking to make the leap into WSBK, otherwise they need to commit with no experience of the out-and-out top spec bikes....

..unless WSBK adopts BSB regs, which let's be fair, it could well do to further seperate it from the modified road engines that Claiming Rule Teams will be using in MotoGP?

Fantastic. With involvement of Bajaj & their investment & possible take over ... things look very positive for KTM. The Baby Duke's were Bajaj's idea & already have great impact in Asia & the World around. It's only a matter of time they will bring more afforadable advanced technological line ups. Hoping for road going stroker bikes from them ... both small & big. Further a Road going version of their up coming Moto-3 might be a hot temptation to own.

I have seen the RC8 in action during the Salzburgring IDM round. Its one of the best and most brutal sounding racers out there. Would be a great addition to the series. Always good to see another company involved.

KTM raced in the last 3 rounds of the AMA Superbike series, and has all ready anounced they will be racing in the AMA fulltime in 2012 with atleast 1 rider Chris Fillmore, and maybe with 2 riders.
