2012 season is full of very closely paced riders... so nice competition for racing fans... Happy to hear hopkins signing for crescent suzuki but Im sure he wont be able to become WSBK Champion but should five to finish the season in top 5.

Happy for him because if he cant win BSB convincingly then where would he be in GP, back where he was, he was a waste of a bike in GP, good but not good enough. Should be at home in World British Superbike.
If Antony West dose'nt deserve a CRT bike then he certainly does'nt deserve a full GP bike

Strange opinion Mick.

Hopkins and West were team-mates at Kawasaki in 2008.

Hopkins: 15 starts (injured), best finish 5th, 57 points (16th).
West: 18 starts (full season), best finish 5th, 50 points (18th).

West also rode the Kawasaki in 2007, whereas it was Hopkins first year.

How is West a better rider?

I hope he will have succeess and he is a really good rider, but without factory support I don't think he has too much chance against the Aprilia, Ducati and the new Honda.
Where will Tommy Hill be next year? There are less and less available seats. Will stay in BSB?

Hopkins a chump?
Hopkins and Hill were both outstanding last year and it was a shame that one of them had to lose.
Taking nothing away from Tommy but most of the tracks were new to Hopkins and he rode the last 3 rounds with a badly injured hand.
It will be a real shame if Tommy has to stay in BSB for another year due to lack of competitive rides on the World stage but calling Hopkins a chump and implying he's less deserving of the ride is well far off the mark.

Comment I was referring to seems to have disappeared.
