WSBK » Berger joins expanded Effenbert line-up


Maxime Berger will join Sylvain Guintoli and Jakub Smrz at Effenbert Liberty in 2012, as the team hints at a four-rider entry for next season.

n when did the confirm news of signing Smrz came I dont knw. Already 18 full season riders signed with at least ducati roma to announce its riders.. 20 or more full season riders will be good to c in WSBK 2012. I am not sure what Berger can do though seeing the strong field...

Allthough I'd like to see Haga on the grid in 2012 I doubt it will be with Effenbert. The press release stated signing Berger is part of their increased investment in development of young riders. If there will be a 4th bike I'd guess it will be another young rider.

Eitherway, I'm glad they're giving Berger a chance. He showed some good solid performances this year, just had a lot of bad luck with technical failures.

@davet1985, ya I read that. It means Pedercini is all set to contest. Parkingo inclined to Aprilia and I suppose Pata is gone then. So Haga only has few options left... Pedercini Kawasaki and Roma Ducati infact. Roma will field one bike as is peculated. So only 3 options left for Mr. Haga.
