Watch out for many comments from riders that the bike shows signs of brilliance but is unpredictable & crashes for no apparant reason when it makes its way onto WSBK grids if Xaus is in charge

So- who should Bimota have hired? An accountant? A graphic designer? A telephone sanitation specialist? It obviously couldn't be a current racer, and it shouldn't be an inexperienced newbie racer, so it has to be an ex-racer who is experienced, available, affordable and still enthusiastic. I would think there was not a lot of choice for Bimota and Rubens was the one who ticked all their boxes.

Exactly! He's ridden numerous Ducatis, plus the S1000RR and the newest-shaped 'Blade so knows how bikes feel. Don't remember people slagging off Aprilia for using Alex Hoffmann or Suzuki for using numerous non-racers for their bike development?
