So a good few of Biaggis crew have deserted him and a potential replacement turned the role down after working with him - what does that tell you?

So just how expensive are charm schools in Italy?

@spoilt child, you may choose to call it 'deserting him', but some others may choose to call it moving on in their career. The team members mentioned are going to Moto GP, which will no doubt mean a big pay increase for them, so who can blame them?

I dislike Biaggi as much as the next man, but lets keep things in perspective.

Im looking forward to seeing what Laverty can do alongside Biaggi, 'IF', and thats a big 'IF', he gets the same support as Biaggi, unlike Camier.

I suggest you check your facts

I too was under the impression that Camier had been hobbled

Eugene himself told me that his two new crew chiefs got to strip Camiers Aprilia after the race at the Portimao test and it was IDENTICAL to Biaggis

Why would he lie?

I like Camier but Biaggi (who I dont particulary like) outrode him on the same machine

The fact that Eugene was instantly fastest on his first outings on the Aprilia is a strong indication that the bike is pretty good

Are we sure it's just Biaggi that is the problem?? Guidotti has been with Aprilia for years (on and off) and maybe he's cheesed with the regime that doesn't include Sacchi. Sacchi was the glue that held the Piaggio group racing effort together. Hmmmmm...

There are more than a few choices of crew members out there. Factory Yamaha guys do, indeed, need employment. Seems like a Kawi squad closed down, I think I remember a couple BSB teams shifting focus and there are a host of AMA crew members that need jobs. I can think of two AMA teams that closed down that have engine builders and chiefs that are highly experienced in the AMA and WSBK arena that could use a gig. Mostly, this depends on Aprilia and if they want only Italians on the crew.

@spoiltchild Biaggi and Camier may well have had the same bike at Portimao, but doesn't mean they had the same spec bike for the other races before. At Portimao Camier qualified ahead of Biaggi, led him in race 1 before running on at T1, and he beat Biaggi in race 2. So on the "same" bike Biaggi didn't really outride him.
