The amount of attention and **** kissing Eugene got after his Moza double was ridculous. A) He was lucky to win both races with Max held up in the 1st and Max making a mistake while running away with the 2nd.
B) Eugene never won another race and was outclassed by his team mate.

Like his brother Micheal he talks the talk but nothing more.

Plus theres racing under the Irish banner when hes from Northern Ireland. Big insult that considering its Britain thats furthered his career.

Definately not worthy of 2nd this year. That should be Biaggi who would have won the title with his results run pre his injury.

Yes, Laverty lost with his teammate (according to this poll loser) and finished season with same amount of points like Biaggi (according to this poll loser of this century), even if he had advantage of six more races than Max. YES, Laverty desires AT LEAST SECOND POSITION IN THIS POLL!

I was surprised that this is the result of a poll, I thought before this is crash's own list. If so, it's a pleasant surprise that not Sykes is first, Laverty second, Rea third and Haslam fourth.

sour grapes gregor, the lad done alright in wsbk, not least because he never sat on a superbike before this season, while all the other guys were well used to riding big four strokes,(marco 990gp bike),he will improve for it and be stronger in 2012,then you will whine and find some other reason to knock him.

Deserves to be second(if not 1st),his first season on superbikes and the only people ahead of him are 3 ex GP riders. He had some nice races with Melandri too,was good to watch, teammates racing each other hard and fair.

Oh dear, you reckon us aussies are one eyed?

Comprehensibly outperformed by his teammate.

The fact that the other guys are Ex GP stars is irrelevent. The poll is not about how a rider will perform and his or her potential ( and Eugene is a great prospect) but how they performed THIS YEAR.

Melendri did a better job. Wake up folks.

Gregor your comments are just ridiculous did you see the two races at monza at all?, his second win was voted in the top three of the season.

To say he was 'lucky' is a gross diservice, max biaggi made mistakes at more than one circuit this year and mistakes mean your not good enough to win its a simple as that, you cant make suppositions about other riders deserving to win, maybe Rossi should be Motogp champion this year had it not been for his bike being uncompetitive? your argument is nonsense.

As for riding under the Irish flag being an insult are you a complete idiot?, he is British by virtue of where he was born but not of his bloodline or political allegiance, I think he can quite rightly ride under the Irish flag of his ancestors and you are in no position to take that away from him.

As for britain furthering his career I'm not sure how you could come to that conclusion, he never raced in the UK for a start and by similar logic maybe Casey Stoner should ride under the Britsh
