Wow, broken leg, 2 broken feet all less than a wk ago, hardly any testing last wk, no practice to set up the bike this wkend, riding within himself to make sure he didnt fall off & still beat teamate Melandri for top 5. Not bad really hey.

This is why I'm a huge fan of Haslam, he rides a day after an operation then gets a top 5 finish 6 days after he breaks his leg. Just think what he can do when he's fully fit... talk about gritting your teeth and getting on with it!

Many underestimate Leon but his record on underfunded bikes for both Stiggy Honda & Alstare Suzuki speaks for its self.

I feel confident that if the BMW turns out to be more rideable than last year we will see Leon show his true colours.

If however the BMW still struggles I hope that Leon puts his career ahead of loyalty and seeks a ride on a more competative machine. Anyone who has seen his rides in BSB will know what he can do.
Dont forget that as a raw 18yo Leon was also in 500cc GP racing on a bike that most considered so poor it was lucky not to break down before the green flag. While results were sp**** he impressed many with his attitude & racecraft.

Where are you now you doubters and those who ridiculed Leon for been a danger to others and crazy to ride . That's the type of person that makes you proud to be a Brit . Well done Leon win or lose you are still a hero .Good ride by Tom Sykes aswell . Damn that Aprillia of Max is fast . It certainly looks faster than Eugene's anyway. Unless it's my imagination .

"I hope that Leon puts his career ahead of loyalty and seeks a ride on a more competitive machine". Well if his dad is any measure of that then you are going to be disappointed. Anyone remember Ron struggling on with the Elf Honda when it was clear that it would never win a race? By the time he came to his senses it was too late. I hope that Leon doesn't suffer the same fate.
