not really, hes sparing himself the shame which Aoyama will probably find after riding the worst bike on the grid... for which de Rosa would be with a team that probably isnt even close to Ten Kate.

It would be nice to see the R1 back in town, its at least as good as the BMW/Kawasaki, with a quality team. The Honda is a real POS, and if Rea cant get a top 5 this year ... well, hes wasting himself in WSBK. Honda should really be ashamed of itself. V4 + updated chassis & swing arm please.

According to two wheels blog "De Rosa speaking from the Motodays show in Rome said that Pro Ride team doesn't have the “technical means to compete at World Superbike level”"
Sounds like the team is a bit of a dogs breakfast. Race one was a DNS due to broken handlebar bracket and Race two had a quickshifter problem.

He's probably jumping ship before he gets labelled a back marker.

Thanks for the update TB - hope De Rosa lands a decent ride soon.

Wait a minute! - Quay Garage haven't announced their BSB lineup yet! - Could it be Jenny Tinmouth and de Rosa?
