I'm pleased Brett will get a chance to race at this level, makes watching a little more exciting for me, was a big fan of Miguel Duhamel, he did well in AMA, usually it was Matt or Ben in first and second place but Miguel would often be in the mix fighting for third . Good luck Brett, I'll be watching, eh.

Having watched Brett at our local track when he first started racing at age 14 and having followed his career ever since I have no doubt he will be one of the pleasant surprises this season. Go get 'em , Brett!

Miguel Duhamel was a great fearless rider from Canada who I used to love to watch, that being said I can't for the life of me fathom how Brett got tapped for this ride. He's competed in the AMA but has accomplished nothing. I don't believe he has even stood on the podium!!

I know he's a Canadian champion but come on what does that really mean?? If the Canadian champion can't manage a podium in the AMA what does that bode for a campaign in WSBK??

I wish him the best but I am truly puzzled by this.

He's still only 20 years old, hence the "kid" handle. He's been on a superbike since 15. I think he will be the #1 Effenbert rider in short time. Don't ever think the top AMA guys wouldn't be running up front in World. Occaisionally Ben and Matt would test in Malaysia alongside World teams and always bettered the time sheets. Agreed the last few years of AMA the equipment and expenditures have been dumbed down but the talent is still there. Tommy Hayden admittently does not have the agression to be champ but he does have the talent to run top 5 in World, and he's currently on the side lines.
