Ok, so how exactly has he had EVERY chance? I bet you're referring to his year at Yamaha? If so, your knowledge is much less than you pretension puts on.
And from there he got on the OLD CR@P Kwak, and did more with that than ANYONE else had got right. Then last year he developed a brand new bike. It was never gonna win a championship in it's first year.

Now this year, he's put the bike on the podium at a circuit that has NEVER been a i4 circui, let alone a Kwak circuit. And it's his worst circuit. THEN he goes on and DOMINATES the Aragon test by a whole sec, prompting even Biaggi to say he's flying.

Last year you haters said Sykes WILL NOT WIN A RACE! Then, SHOCK HORROR, HE DID.
Then the haters said "Sykes will NOT put the bike on the podium in the dry". AND THAT HAPPENED TOO! AT HIS WORST TRACK!

Now he's been consistently at the front, unofficially SMASHING two different track records. (Valencia's qualifying record on HARD tyres)

I guess we'll see in the fu

Yeah he's on the best bike in the field, and he's also the best rider out there. How stupid of me to think he is an underdog. Thank god for people like you to keep me on the straight and narrow with your intelligence.
Don't know why I bother posting my opinion. The site is full of brain surgeon's. Geez.

He's kind of the Nico Rosberg of WSBK though, isn't he? Fast in testing, fast in quali, has a tendency to fade in the actual races. Hope I'm wrong though, would be nice to see Team Green winning and he certainly seems their best bet!

What are you basing that on? Last year? Name the last bike that won the title in it's first year? Even won races in it's first year. Sykes has been on a massive learning curve in the past two years, and done one hell of a job. And at Phillip island he was beaten by Checa (On a Ducati) at what is probably Checa's best track and Ducati's best track. And beaten by Biaggi, a previous world champion with YEARS more experience!

Last year was seen by Kawasaki and the fans as a year to basically get the bike to where it should be. The start of this year has proven to the fans their work paid off.

Imola will give us a second weekend to get a more general view of where they stand. Sykes and Kawasaki both go well there. So let's hope you are wrong and the faith the fans have put in them pays off.

PS. I'm not being a d1ck. Just adding my perspective.

what a great job this team have done with the kwak already!
a confident and happy Sykes is a very fast Sykes.
the problem last year was the bike destroying tires and we saw at phillip island the kwaks tyres outlasted jony rea's so i think we will see some great results from Tom this year.

It's really looking like Kawasaki have brought something decent for this year. We'll have to wait and see if he can live with Max and Carlos over a whole race distance though. I hope he can, but Phillip Island perhaps showed us that they've still got a few percent to find from somewhere if they're going to win races after a straight fight on a dry track. The Imola round can't come round quick enough!!
