I thought Leon might win, with about seven laps to go it looked possible. Not too shabby at all though, a new first for BMW courtesy of Haslam, good job.

Very good weekend for Leon and BMW. Seems the new techs and particularly the new electronics guy that came from Belgarda are having an influence as much of the tyre degredation that the BMWs suffered from has been resolved.

Gutted for Tom Sykes though, nothing he could do to fightback once Checa got him in each race.

Marco who?? Lol i think Mr Melandri now realises how hard Leon worked last year on the BMW. Probably VERY different to the Factory Yamaha he ha last year.

Very well done Leon. Great qualifying, great races and and 2 podiums!! A few more races like that and i think we'll see a win coming! Well done to te BMW staff and mechanics as well. Doing a cracking job getting that bike to do what it has so far!

I've been saying it for years... Leon is one if the hardest and talented riders Britain has to offer!

Now he is showing what he is made of, riding to 5th with a broken leg and feet and then easily out performing his highly regarded team mateand getting a double podium, maybe a race win isn't too far away!

well done leon and bmw. I can see that they will win some race this season and looking forward to see bmw and haslam in motogp. might be right for the entertainment but as bike racing is concern no better than technology and ride best bike in the world with greatest riders in motogp. Why everyone is dying to ride in gp? why some champs of wsbk or any series want to have shot in gp? because its premier class. Watch asian road racing championship then you will see the real close racing and lot of entertainment.

um Zane, didn't Melandri just beat Haslam and bagged BMW's best finish the first race of the year??

Leon had an absolutely stunning day today no doubt. But the 2nd race weekend of the season is a bit early to be annointing and crowning riders.
