Tom rode the wheels off the Kawi but in the end the Ducati was way to much bike for him on this track at least..i hope as the season goes on the other bikes can close the gap or its going to become boring!

Seems it doesn't matter where Carlos and his Ducati qualify, his bike simply wears it's tyres better, so he will come good at the end of any race. It's gonna happen a whole lot more this year.

Great rides from Checa, but frustrating knowing that if he is in the top 3 mid race, he's definately gonna win as everybody elses tyres will suffer apart from his.

Great ride Tom and Leon. Keep it up.

Great ride by Tom today.

Yes, tires were the name of the game today. You can see that Tom was riding the wheels off his bike while Checa was picking his bike up early and saving the tires. It was only a matter of time before Checa would go by.

Today was not Tom's day for a victory. But it's coming sooner rather than later.

I can't agree that he'd killed his tyres by half way, or he wouldn't have help Haslam off like he did, let alone stay well out of reach of Biaggi.

In the end I think his tyre wear was as close to normal 4-cylinder tyre wear as you'll get in comparison to the other guys around him, it's more a case of the 1200 Ducati being able to just not even push to be ahead... It just looks after the tyres so easily.

I have to agree, sooner rather than later. And judging by what we've seen so far, I can't WAIT for MONZA, even Assen, (Where he was quick last year, but killed the tyre).

Your fans backing paying off, making things even sweeter.

Did you see the left side of Haslam's rear after the race? It was shot to pieces so it doesn't mean Sykes's tyres weren't gone by the end of the race. Haslam couldn't catch him because his were shredded too.
