Sylvain Guintoli will be fit to ride at Assen, but the Frenchman remains frustrated to be taken out on race day at Imola.

This was a desperate move by Leon... essentially a block pass which forced both riders off track. However that's racing and there was no contact.

The most unfortunate rider was Chaz who got collected by Sylvain's Ducati!

The crash was started by Haslam's mistake, true- But come on, these guys are racing, not riding on a public road.
I can hardly think of a single rider in supers or GPs that hasn't caused a prang at some point.

Guintoli avoids blaming Haslam, he obviously looks on it as a racing incident (albeit a frustrating one).

Poor Guintoli always seems to cop it through no fault of his own though.

His ambition far outweighed his talent as some Australian once said. . Was lucky it wasnt motogp otherwise he might have had to have a ride through for scratching the paint on guinters fairing. Once commited to the lunge its difficult to brake any harder . Next time Leon take out riders that are.nt in my mcn fantasy league team :)

A few digs heading in Leon's direction I see. Leon has and will receive his fair share of fairing bashing.

It was a standard move. Leon heading on the inside trying to outbrake Guinters.

Leon was committed but looked like Guinters was responding by trying to close the door/braking deeper - result was both riders trying to out brake each other and both went off track.

Its standard WSBK racing, I love it and am disappointed by people pointing fingers. If you don't like these moves then go watch F1 - stewards reviews after each overtake will suit you. The rest of us will continue to appreciate the uncensored spectacle of WSBK racing!

Now that tarmac-ed run off areas are being installed at most circuits it is a mystery why this over-run hotspot was still gravel. On tarmac Sylvain could have continued braking and rejoined without drama. There was also an incident when the end of a barrier tore a bike in two. The finger is pointing that the circuit urgently needs some alterations in safety critical areas.
