I loved how Chili stuck with the 998 when the 999 was introduced. He didn't like it & gave the younger Hodgeson, Bayliss & Xaus a headache every now & then. I didn't like the 999 much myself. Glad Ducati went back to the 916 style queue.

I remember this like it was yesterday! What a titanic battle and who can forget the post-race aftermath. Frankie was not a happy bunny and stormed into the post-race press conference in his green towelling dressing down. I bet they both look back at this and laugh over a beer or 3.

they never threw punches,Foggy was ushered away befor anything happened.good old Frankie altho judging from that clip he had noone to blame but himself.lose the awful 80s soundtrack, the noise of the engines wouldve been enough for that clip.

As I remember it, it was all a bit 'hand-bags at 10 paces'. I think Frankie wasn't happy about a pass a couple of corners earlier and basically chucked it away at the last corner. They didn't touch. I remember Foggy did a massive burnout in pitlane (by the time he'd got back around Frankie had got his bike to the pits) to put up a smoke screen and kept his gloves on when he was up on the podium lol.
