Bit confused here as he says Brett "will be assessed tomorrow, to see if surgery is necessary to stabilize his C5" !!! Until the outcome of the assessment its a premature thing to say.

Really hope surgery is not needed and he does get the chance to fulfill the promise he has been showing so far. Good luck to "the Kid"

Good news!

I hope that those that were quick to leap in and blame Carlos Checa are taking note of the fact that so far neither the Effenbert team, the rider himself or the governing body have made similar accusations....they are all in a better position to judge than couch potatoes sat in front of their TV.

Checa was lap down on McCormick, so he had no business racing with him! Just think of the mayham if this incident happened in opposite roles. If you look at the replay McCormick stood up the bike when he realized that Checa was already alongside him as he was making the pass.

Altough the main thing is that McCormick is not so badly injured.
