WSBK » Bevilacqua: Accidents have made riders more wary

Bevilacqua: I think that everyone involved took too long in their decision making and what resulted was one shortened race which was something or nothing really.

If they are THAT worried, why is it not prompting these big circuits (Who, quite honestly, can afford) to up the safety precautions around the tracks?!?!

Like NOT having concrete walls exposed.
Having inflatable barriers protecting the walls.
Increasing run off area.

These are all things I believe can be done without losing the classic circuits' charm and appeal!

WE DON'T WANT TO BE STUCK WITH NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF "TILKE" TRACKS, but they need to find ways for that not to happen.

safety my arze, italian politics and craftyness, race 1 should not have been cancelled, melandri would not race,(his bike was being repaired)would not be fixed in time to start, biaggi wanted it cancelled,(his bike blew up)and would not be ready in time for a restart, checa wanted it cancelled, because it would have saved him a lot of lost points,fk me guys wake up!all three benefited from a many times have you seen checa biaggi melandri win wet races, lots of times, they race plenty in the wet.

I thought that these blokes were supposed to be the pinacle of motorcycle riders? They are starting to sound like over paid footballers.. yes safety first, but how many other races globally are run in the wet, my guess would be lots.

itstinks is dead right.

The delays gave the mechanics time to fix to the two Italians bikes, the weather was just a convenient excuse.

Look at Guintoli and Sykes, they wanted to go.

The losers were the fans, the one bike rule is just stupid. Two bikes, flag to flag is the only way to stop this nonsense and improves safety too. We used to have this, but it was scrapped to allow them all to pretend the GFC was hurting them too.....

I for one would much rather deal with a delayed or cancled race than watch a slew of bikes and riders get thrown down the road. Give it up to Sykes, huge webbos, but had he high sided it wouldve proved nothing besides superbikes, slicks, and a green track dont mix!
