It's a great shame that Haslam did not win the 2nd race at Donington. He looked good the hole weekend. But, let's face it. Rea did a great job coming back onto the leading pack in the last 5 laps. For me, the last corner incident was a racing incident. All 3 of them went hard into the corner. It was like Rossi and Gibernau in Jerez some years ago (except for the 3rd rider involved). Haslam and Rea touched. Haslam was really unlucky to crash, but it's racing. I don't think Rea was reckless, maybe just to committed. Hope that next time Haslam and Rea fight for a win/place both stay up and may the best man win. All in all it was a great racing weekend after the disapointment at Monza.

@b and other haters

from jonathan reas twitter:
@realleonhaslam just popped over to the motorhome. We ended up having a beer together! #trueprofessional

get over it rea haters/ haslam fanboys. The REAL racers have put it beside themselves and move on. Only wish the armchair locusts on this site can do the same!

CHEAT.. Not so sweet, and replete with bad language because he cannot compete with a superior argument that Rea made a tough but fair pass, as said by real racers, YES REAL RACERS, and not by young sucklings like yourself.

I suppose if you can't beat someone fairly just knock them off as you know nothing will be done about it after the race.

If you can knock two competitors down and get away with it why not do it to everyone until you are the last one on the track.

Surely there have to be some rules in bike racing.

What happens when Haslam or Melandri try and get revenge in the next race and someone gets hurt, will race control do anything then.

away you go terry, back to watching football or cricket, cos you certainly dont have a clue what bike racers are like
yes there are rules
riders dont look for revenge, its too dangerous and it hurts
and yes accidents do happen all the time

There where some wild moves going on all through the race but melandri was past the point of wild on the final two corners. Rea went for a gap and would probably have beaten haslam to the line anyway. Real shame for leon.
Melandris moove from that far back was a disgrace.

awsome races though!

well, it wasnt the first touch Rea had in the race. I'm sure there will be more touching moments in the races to come.

i dont think he should be DSQ for it,but it would be a good thing if he would at least own up to knocking poor Haslam off and had a talking to. As far as Melandri's ham fisted pass in the race, he at least did not hit anyone so he really shouldnt be mentioned here.

outrageous riding from the top five, i was audibly agog at the action in race2, one of the best wsbk races i have seen! irrespective of whose fault the prang was at the final corner, my immediate reaction was it was ultimately a racing incident... also in light of the monza fiasco, the organisers probably thought it would be for the best if controversy and rider penalisation was avoided at donington...
