If Melandri hadn't been wreckless in the last couple of turns Rea wouldn't have been able to be close enough to challenge for the win but instead Melandri chose to be greedy, rather than settling for a BMW 1-2 he forced himself and his team mate way off course. Rea saw a gap and went for it, He wouldn't be a racer other wise, Good lad Rea.

JR did you buy MM a beer afterwards, he opened the door for you, Rea right place right time, Haslam/Melandri wrong place wrong time, you only did what any racer worth his salt would have done, congratulations on the win.

I bet that those people saying oh rea is a liability or rea is a cheat love moto gp no overtaking everyone stays in station till the end. Those same people probbly slated rossi at laguna when he passed stoner great race. Ask any rider take the gap or pussy out for 3rd always take the gap if it had been the other way round haslam would be praised by you lot and for those saying johnny has't won a championship how many exactly has haslam won get over it johnny won end of story thats racing moto gp sit up and take notice.

brilliant race but i am was very disapointed at the reaction of the Aprilia garage when the camera went onto them. They were all cheering when Leon and Marco went down. Most teams, and all decent riders would never ever cheer at another riders crash no matter the circumstances.

Fair play JR - awesome stuff, all these negative comments are pure rubbish. If JR did not take that chance then he should not a WSB rider, Leon, Rossi, Stoner all would have done the same. There are motorbike riders at the top of their game not pussy footballers who moan moan moan.

Leon is top quality sportsman, called to JR camp last night and had a beer after indicent - Respect to you all

Melandri ran wide and had no part to play in this apart from being taken out as an innocent 3rd party.

Haslam left a gap open, just like he did on many other corners thru the race. It was a sizeable gap.

Rea parked it into the gap, Haslam turned in on him and went down.

A hard pass by Rea however Haslam left a sizeable gap on the corner that everyone sets up for a last lap pass. It is not surprising what Rea did.

Hard, but it is racing not netball.
