I hope Joan's condition keeps improving and that he doesn't end up paralyzed from the chest down. Keep fighting Joan.

Realistically, after this length of time it's unlikely that he'll ever walk again, but there is still hope, and he can certainly have a fulfilling and useful life.

That's very sad news any way you slice it, it's one of those times when we have to be sad and have Joan in our hearts and minds. He sacrificed for racing, hope racing don't just forget him.

It's good to finally hear some positive news from Joan's team - I would of course love to hear that full mobility had returned....finger crossed for Joan. My best wishes to Joan and his family.

looks like one of my fav racers won't be back on track again. But life is more imp than race.
