Sad to hear the confirmation of the extent of his paralysis but if he has movement, feeling and strength in his arms and hands, that will be a lot better than the worst that could have happened considering the site of the injury. Nevertheless, it's devastating enough as it is. I hope that all the strength of spirit and determination he has shown as a racer can help him through these very difficult times.

A miracle can still happen to reverse this dreadful situation.Joan will need a strong character to overcome this adversity. I'm sure his family, friends and every race fan worldwide will always lend their support to a fine racer. Joan needs kind acts, cheerful words and many sympathetic looks in order to lift his spirits.I hope he is in a position to watch his WSBK opponents battle it out on the race tracks of the world. Hopefully,he can draw encouragement from watching the action from his hospital bed. It could spur him on to a full recovery. Godspeed Joan.
