And so were everyone else's including me.. On this site there were quite a few people prepared to back Laverty over the 40 year old Biaggi but Max is a GP winner and has more than enough talent to best Laverty.

Laverty will come good. Last year was very good, and this is the difficult follow up year. But it's also the first year on a new, very different team. Learn this year, lead next year ...

Laverty has already shown at Assen and Monza that Max doesn't have more than enough talent to best his team mate. What Max does have to his advantage is years of experience racing the Aprilia while Eugene has only had six races on the RSV4. This is a learning year for Laverty on the Aprilia but I still think he has more than enough talent to finish ahead of Max in a few more races this year.

Finish a couple races before max yes thats possible. But finishing in front of max overall this year, no way. I know this is a British site but even you guys cant deny that biaggi is the only consistant driver on the aprilia.

Only naive brits thought that Laverty could challenge Biaggi on a regular basis.

No disrespect to Laverty but Biaggi is one of the best riders of his generation and doesnt get enough respect from most.

Rea and Biaggi have a good weekend and Laverty struggles, might have something to do with both Rea and Biaggi have a bike built and developed to their every need and Laverty gets the scraps..... Good to hear Rea is Irish also but why is he not in Dublin this weekend?

oh dear laverty, that is the worst excuse ever. you really arent good enough, for a factory ride. chaz should of got it, as he is a far better rider, johnny is british bob, as he won his home race last time out. i wish eire, would stop trying to steal norn irons riders. you took laverty after years of him being british and have ruined him. jack kennedy should turn to britain, before eire ruins his career as well ho ho
